Political Prisoner Gohndim Is Alive, Concerned About Pisscord Future

Scandal sweeps yet another streaming community this week from an unlikely source; while many communities experience trickle-down slop economics, BNN reports today on a more collectively owned approach to drama that has left a beloved community member silenced and imprisoned. Rather than finding the drama source at the streamer, himself, sources allege that a more socialist model has overtaken the moderation team over in the Piscord: the moderators of the Discord server belonging to the community of niche political streamer Pisco, of Pisco’s Hour, have muted beloved user, Gohndim, for seven days without cause.

“Gohndim is, above all else, a kind soul,” commented Evie, prominent Piscord member of many years. “He de-escalates, listens, and makes one feel safe to have sharp arguments. Imprisoning him for a week doesn’t just silence one member, it deprives the community of the voice that keeps conversations humane. His imprisonment removes a stabilizing and empathetic voice, and this chills everyone. I will stand in solidarity with Gohndim and boycott the Piscord until he is set free, and I call on others to join me if they so choose. I will not stand for the cruelty on display by the moderators, silencing such a kind soul silences the kindness in all of us.”

The shock of the betrayal came suddenly and without explanation, deeply resembling the thousands of thoughtless federal employee terminations made by the Trump administration since January– a markedly authoritarian tactic on all fronts.

“It’s been tough on myself, my family and friends, and most importantly on my loyal Crimsons,” shared Gohndim when BNN reached him for comment. “I feel a bit like Paul Whelan, forgotten and abandoned by people I placed my trust in.”

The deadly timing of this fresh scandal threatens the balance of a community already wavering, with hundreds of new users having arrived in the past few months (most of whom appear to be lacking in frontal lobe development). The first stasis of general sentiment in the Piscord since the influx of green names occurred with the banning of infamous homunculus and Hamas sympathizer Dooby– but that peace has ended with the imprisonment of Gohndim. When we asked Gohndim if he believed that this was microcosmic of a broader, protracted conflict among the Piscord moderators and the Piscord’s beloved elite, the Crimsons, Gohndim responded in the affirmative. “I tend to think that Moderators are almost universally evil and wield their powers in ways that make them feel empowered and special in ways they struggle to feel in the real world,” he continued. “I have no doubt that Moderators started the conflict and it’s almost unfortunate that they are the most well-positioned to end it.”

The threat to the broader community couldn’t be more clear: justice for Gohndim is the only answer before further escalations deteriorate the fabric of our very society. “Many of us who were here for The Pisscord Civil War and previous mod abuses are dealing with wounds of the past,” explained Gohdim when pressed for his thoughts on the big picture. “I’d look to a handful of the most dedicated Crimsons namely Evie Ember, Beaver Mitch, and TheMerls for their thoughts on this conflict. Crimsons Rise together, and we will flourish in this server or the next.”

We can only hope that justice will wrap the Piscord in the mantle of peace. Without moderation, will this be the end of the home of so many Discord users? In the words of user TheMerls, “Never again is now.”
