Ozzy Osburne, the lead singer of Black Sabbath, and notorious bat eater has passed away at age 76. His family is said to have been by his side during his final moments. Sharon Osburne said her final goodbyes to the man who once tried to strangle her.
The Prince of Darkness was known as the most colorful and shocking frontman in the history of music, notoriously biting off the head of a bat during a live performance in Iowa. Ozzy lived a life full of hard drugs and general abuse to his body, making people wonder if he was immortal or if the likes of Whitney Houston, Prince, and Amy Winehouse were just weak pussies.
The signature accomplishment of Ozzy’s career came when he starred in a World of Warcraft commercial, solidifying himself as the one and only Prince of Darkness.
Ozzy leaves behind a rather cringe family but millions of fans. His passing comes just weeks after his farewell tour where he gave it all for the people who funded his habits and fed his soul. RIP to The Prince of Darkness. The bats may be safer, but we are all worse off with your passing.
