Scouting the Fourth Chair: Lib & Learn’s Most Likely Replacements
With the recent announcement of founding member Econoboi retiring from the Lib & Learn podcast, we at BNN have begun the scouting process to determine who is the most likely replacement for the show. I have searched far and wide, from Twitch politics panels, to office water coolers, to pro-Hamas rallies at Columbia University to find the best and the brightest potential replacements. Without further ado, here are BNN’s top five prospect, with their backgrounds and comparison.
1 – Counterpoints
Background: Ex-military, ex-cop, ex-Republican, ex-tremely loud and obnoxious Ideological
Archetype: Centrist Military Dad
Comp: Colonel Fitts from American Beauty
Strengths: Counterpoints would certainly throw a wrench into the works by being the most right-leaning member of L&L. In fact, replacing Econoboi with Counterpoints would be akin to replacing Vladimir Lenin with Counterpoints.
Weaknesses: The budget of the podcast will increase exponentially having to replace pop filters every time he deep-throats the mic.
2 – IRI (ImReallyImportant)
Background: Twitch Partner Ideological
Archetype: Pragmatic Progressive
Comp: Whatever corpses are on C-SPAN these days
Strengths: Calm, articulate, measured, and has actual policy knowledge. Able to teach the other members of L&L about the Gary Hart “Monkey Business” scandal.
Weaknesses: We already have Hutch.
3 – Katya
Background: Twitch Debate Panelist Ideological
Archetype: Communist / Deeply Closeted Marxist-Leninist
Comp: Rosa Luxemburg
Strengths: Not afraid of getting down and dirty in a debate. Has dealt with fat idiots like Admiral Gibbs, so certainly would not have issues dealing with other fat idiots.
Weaknesses: Would be seen as a DEI hire (from Florida). Unable to use bad words despite being a discord moderator.
4 – Lance (The Serfs)
Background: One Half of the Serfs (I think there are two?)
Ideological Archetype: Canadian
Comp: Socialist Tucker Carlson
Strengths: Great hair
Weaknesses: Might try to get the L&L members to unionize and end up killing the leader of L&L (Pisco).
5 – Hasan Piker
Background: Destiny’s child Ideological
Archetype: America Bad
Comp: Yahya Ibrahim Hassan Sinwar
Strengths: Has the endorsement of Econoboi
Weaknesses: Likely to be on a no-fly list if he publicly supports another terrorist group, which would put him in the double-digits.
6 – Touring News
Background: Founded the Touring News Network, canvassed for Bernie Sanders
Ideological Archetype: Anarcho-Primitivist
Comp: Theodore Kaczynski
Strengths: Skilled farming who could survive the degrowth into communism
Weaknesses: Alcohol and getting along with people
